What is elexica?
elexica is the award-winning, free online legal resource from leading international law firm Simmons & Simmons, primarily aimed at clients and contacts of the firm.
elexica offers registered users an extensive range of legal information including practical guides, checklists, case reports, detailed legal analysis, a weekly EU Diary, training modules (with CPD hours), a current awareness email alerting service and an extensive library of categorised web links.
Registration is fast and free. The amount of material you can see on elexica depends on your business relationship with Simmons & Simmons. Further information on access is available here.
What does elexica offer me?
elexica is a web site rich in legal information, services and resources, arranged into the following areas:
- What's new – A selection of the latest additions to elexica. Have these delivered to your computer using elexica's RSS feed (What is RSS?)
- In Brief offers up to date legal know-how including current awareness articles, legislative updates and case summaries.
- In Depth – dives deeper into the topics covered in In Brief and offers comparative analysis and broader summaries of legal and commercial issues.
- EU Diary – gives weekly notice of selected measures in the four main EU institutions - the European Commission, Council of Ministers, European Parliament and European Courts of Justice.
- Newsletters – a collection of current and archived newsletters, bulletins and regular reviews published by Simmons & Simmons.
- Links – a library of fully categorised links to hundreds of the world's most useful web sites.
- Training modules provide you with the information you need to get to grips with complicated areas of procedural law, and carry accredited CPD hours.
- Email alerts – elexica's free "insiders" keep you informed of the latest legal developments in areas of interest to you.
- Extras – Clients and key contacts of the firm have access to additional online legal resources, ranging from our FSA Client Classification Decision Tree to coverage of the UK Budget. Can I get elexica on my PDA/handheld device?
elexica's weekly EU Diary and selected In Depth articles can be downloaded for reading on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) running the Palm operating system.

To help you navigate to the information you need, items are categorised within each area of elexica where they can be displayed in alphabetical or date order.
