Auction Sales - planning, process and practical guidance

We will be running a series of training seminars specifically designed for the needs of in-house counsel. As well as providing fundamental technical training, the objective of these seminars is to provide an informal forum where questions can be asked, matters debated and practical experiences shared. We hope that counsel of all levels of experience will find the sessions useful, but they may be of particular interest to those who are looking for an introduction to or a recap on the topics covered.

Session one: Auction sales - planning, process and practical guidance

In this session we will consider both the legal and practical issues involved in planning an auction sale process as well as recent hot topics and developments, including:

  • appointment of advisers - key considerations including recent comment on the practice of stapled financing
  • virtual data rooms - practical tips and tricks on how to optimise the use of an online data room, and
  • managing the bid process - focusing on how to avoid liability and maximise the benefits/efficiencies of the process.
