Employment breakfast briefing - Redundancies
The last 12 months has seen a number of cases touching on redundancies. We have had cases on pools of one, subjectivity when selecting for alternative roles, more favourable treatment of a woman on maternity leave in redundancy scoring, and in the context of collective consultation, whether the expiry of a fixed term contract is a redundancy, elections without a ballot, the potential scope of a protective award when a claim is brought by a single employee, together with the Government's call for evidence. Our breakfast briefing on 18 April will focus on these and other tricky issues that we are seeing on redundancies.
This session is primarily aimed at HR professionals but may also be of interest to employment lawyers.
For those in legal practice in England and Wales, this seminar carries 1 CPD hour.
