    Singapore has released a draft bill for public consultation to amend the arbitration legislation to ensure the arbitrability of intellectual property disputes. The draft bill is modelled on Hong Kong’s similar amendments which have been in force since 01 January 2018.

    ​The UK Supreme Court on 27 March 2019 handed down its decision in the Actavis v ICOS patent case. The Supreme Court agreed with the Court of Appeal in overruling the first instance decision and ruling that the patent was invalid for lack of inventive step.
