    This session will look at the risk retention requirements under Article 122a of the Capital Requirements Directive (article 404-410 of the new Capital Requirements Regulation) and consider how deals have been structured to satisfy the requirements. We will also look at the draft regulatory technical standards published by the European Banking Authority and discuss how deal structures may be affected by the proposed standards as well as the likely challenges presented under this regime, the AIFMD and Solvency II.
