A potential game-changer: New arrangement between Hong Kong and the Mainland relating to the availability of interim relief in aid of arbitration

Hong Kong and the Mainland signed a new arrangement on 02 April 2019, allowing parties to arbitrations in Hong Kong (or the Mainland) to apply to the Mainland (or Hong Kong) courts for interim relief in aid of arbitration (the New Arrangement). The New Arrangement has not yet come into effect; its commencement date will be decided at a later time.
